Situated next to Junction 35 of the M4 motorway, the 5.17-acre green site forms part of Pencoed Technology Park.
Delivered by Andrew Scott Ltd, the 46,180 sq ft industrial and warehouse facility has been occupied by Sainsbury's since 2021. Designed to meet Welsh Government sustainable building standards, the project achieved a BREEAM Excellent certification and an EPC A rating.
Loveluck Architecture represented C3A from RIBA Stage 1 through to practical completion.
The elevations are thoughtfully designed with robust materials, showcasing clean modern elements complemented by an overhanging gutter detail that enhances the façade's visual appeal while efficiently directing rainwater away. The building's layout and form were planned to provide future tenants with maximum flexibility. The landscape strategy carefully integrates the site with its surroundings, preserving key ecological features while introducing new elements to enhance biodiversity and environmental harmony.
