This renowned 2-Michelin-starred restaurant, near Tower Bridge, overlooks Tooley and Queen Elizabeth Streets on the Bermondsey/Southwark side of the Thames.
Our proposal features a first-floor extension with a subtle setback, accessed via a lift and private stair core. The design extends the existing timber cladding on the side façade, creating a rhythmic balustrade for balconies on both sides.
Full-height glazing and glass balustrades maximize views and enhance transparency, minimizing visual impact on the adjacent listed building while complementing the street setting.
Loveluck Architecture developed the design to RIBA stage 4 coordinating the intricate extension whilst ensuring the prestigious aesthetic was maintained.
By utilising 3D modeling software, Loveluck Architecture achieved precise coordination of the structure and mechanical equipment. This approach ensured accurate costing of intricate design elements, such as the wave timber balustrade and glazed façade.
